Corrections & Retractions Policy

Socratika: Journal of Progressive Education and Social Inquiry is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When significant errors or concerns are identified after publication, the journal will take appropriate corrective action in accordance with recognized publication-ethics principles and relevant COPE guidance.

Corrections may be issued when an error affects part of a published article but does not invalidate its overall findings or conclusions. A correction notice will clearly identify the article and explain the nature of the amendment.

Retractions may be considered when findings are unreliable because of major error or research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, or other serious breaches of publication ethics. Retraction notices will state the reason for the action and remain publicly accessible and linked to the original article.

Where an investigation is ongoing and serious concerns remain unresolved, Socratika may publish an Expression of Concern until sufficient information is available for a final editorial decision.

Post-publication corrections, retractions, and related notices are handled transparently. The journal seeks to preserve the scholarly record while clearly indicating any changes made to published content.
