Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy The Editorial Board of the Journal of Early Childhood Education Research recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable. Accordingly, the following policy has been established to outline specific actions (penalties) to be taken when plagiarism is identified in a manuscript submitted for publication in the Journal of Early Childhood Education Research.

Plagiarism is defined as the act of deliberately or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or academic recognition for a scholarly work by copying, in whole or in part, the work and/or academic work of others and presenting it as one's own without proper and adequate citation of the original source.

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any material taken verbatim from other sources must be clearly identified and distinguished from the original text through proper citation. If plagiarism is detected, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the manuscript and determining appropriate actions based on the level of plagiarism.

Plagiarism Screening All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Early Childhood Education Research are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software (www.turnitin.com). Manuscripts with plagiarism levels exceeding 25% will be rejected without review and returned to the authors for revision.
